I was heading out of east boston via storrow drive twords newton at like 8pm. A couple exits past the downtown exit I fly by a kid an his 99 kawi that is parked on the left shoulder damn near under one of those storrow overpass dips.(for those of you that don't know storrow drive here's a lil info. 1. People consider it a highway even tho its mostly 40mph zone. 2 Stopping on the left shoulder is insane because there is a foot and a half between the guard rail and traffic flying by you at 70+. 3. The way the road is made you go under several overpasses that don't let you see clear to the other side until your under/out of it. To give you an idea, the state trooper that showed up parkd at least 100 yards behind us to divert traffic out of our lane. Cops won't even stop under/near these over passes) So I take the next available illegal U turn followed by another illegal UI pull up behind him and put my flashers on on mah gixxahhh. Turns out he had already called the staties and road side assistance but I had decided to stay behind him because I was his only hope of drawing attention away from him as it got darker, because he couldn't get his flashers on. Also turns out that he had just run outa gas (DOH, yea im risking my life for a kid that didn't decide to fill up). Roadside assistance gets there, gives him some gas, and he struggles to start his bike but manages. I left once it had started, but not before promoting this site to him. I also learned he was a newton resident that lives close to a few of my buddies. Good kid, glad I went back to help him. Hopefuly karma will automaticly repair my scuffed fairings...I just thought I would post this in lew of that other left behind post. I was on my way home too and decided to help someone I've never seen before in my life. I didn't assume he was ok and continue on with my day...

KUDO'S to you!!You did the right thing, bro...under less than ideal circumstances. Just keep your own safety at the top of the list, first and foremost!! Hope he takes your advice and stops by here...he's in dire need of education!

almost positive I changed that via the non wap site on my phone... anyone that can, feel free to change that to deed
I stopped and helped a turtle across the street on Friday morning. Blocked traffic with my truck and got out and pulled him off the double yellow and over to the side he was heading. There should be a prize for this sort of thing.

Good for you.
I changed the toilet paper roll at my house.

That is a real sketchy part of storrow man. That should net you some serious karma points!
Feels good to help someone out huh. Random acts of kindness are good. I fixed a flat for a kid with NH plates while we were all up at Laconia in June. In the parking lot at Gunstock after the Hillclimb. We were headed to our bikes and the three older guys he was with were all around the one kids bike. All of them on their cell phones. And I'm there thinking " I can fix that for him
" so I just went over and said just that. I can fix that for you guy if you want. "Seriously "he said. "ya I'll have it round again in ten minutes.
Shit like that just makes you feel good and that's why you do it
good for you for stopping

It does make you feel good to do a random act of kindness for someone. I had some random person buy my coffee one morning at DD in the Drive Thru. I payed it forward, and did the same for the person behind me. Since then I do it at least once a week, in the hopes that it will perpetuate. Going out of your way for people, even if they are from Massachusetts j/kfeels good!
