I won't be there (obviously), but I just saw a SHITLOAD of peeps heading up on my way to work. Trailers, pick-ups, riding, etc. Damn! I gotsta spread out my vacation days better next year! There's a really good chance I'll be RIDING the next one though!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Sweet shit, Mick! Got any pix?

So Ben...what was your overall impression of your first track day?![]()

I just realized that the guy on the SV in the red group with me had to have been BenSV. Cool. I had a fun lap or two behind him when he was following Dan Murphy.
What fuckin' fun day (my first too). Boogered the tires, buggered the line, and scraped the feelers. My quads are sore from dancing on the pegs following Paul Duval (who was going "slow").
In the morning at the Red Roof Mick recognized me from my icon. You guys should have seen the flashy green tape he had on that Tiger!

Hey Paul,
Yah I guess I must have talked to you a lot judging from your icon!
I had a great time. I know some things that I need lots more work on, but I probably learned more yesterday then the whole rest of the year so far, it was totally worth it!
My quads are sore today too. I got a lot better at braking, but I still wasn't too comfy with braking + downshifting off the longer straight sections, and I think I definitely had a little bit more trouble turning right than left, although that got better towards the end of the day as well.
The instructors were a big help.
