Hey Pearldog, Where did you get that blue tape for your headlight and turn signals?

BTW-It's Clyde from svrider.com. How was the trackday, and the new suspension mods?

Hey Clyde-

The tape is blue painting tape..the kind that painters use to tape off trim, etc.--holds fine and leaves less mess than duct tape.

As for the mods...great...I just have to put more faith into the tires and the suspension.

When are we doing another ride?

oh yea...the trackday was awesome and the NESR crew was great. I'm hooked.

I'm on the fence about the 10/14 (tony's) trackday..

Did you ride up or did you eventually get a trailer?

I'm free most Sundays, so let's hook up. Are you doing the NH ride in Sept?

I rented a trailer from Uhaul and spent the night with TheIgu (Clayton) @ the Red Roof. Many people showed up that morning but prepping the bike takes a bit of time.

I may do the NH ride...I have a crazy schedule the next couple of weeks.

Glad to see you on this site..maybe another Sunday trip up to the races.

I really did wave him pass, he was videoing a bunch of us so it was the next persons turn, plus I like following his lines, very smooth and does know his way around the track nicely! I think after 2 laps he was out of my site once we got into the chicaines... He is faster out there than I.. Just seeing if he would jump at the bait of taking a stab at him... No luck..

What the hell is that black mark on the pavement in the piccy? I've never seen that before. If it was laid down by a rider, thay'd have a hell of a story to tell. Strange line...

Edit: Ooooh, I remember now. A motard guy did a rolling burn out after the national. He tried to get higher up the banking, but kept slipping back towds the curbing. I guess it's not in my sight lines while riding...

It's rubber, someone must have spun the back tire hard or locked it up. You can see at the end of it in my pic, it looks like a high side was the result, and I'm sure it was a hard one.

Yeah, see above. I was confused, cause you can't lay a line like that at speed. They are smooth arcs and nowhere near as dark/fat as that.

Where can one buy titainium pucks? I think that would be very cool. But should they be used while doing a track day, or would that be cause for a newby to freak out while following you???

I would love to get a picture while dragging a knee with sparklies!!!!

No, sparky sliders are not allowed at trackdays. I was wearing sparkies for part of the trackday but those sparks are from the peg feelers. The sparky sliders put out a WALL of sparks, not a couple of piddly ones like in that shot.
