    1997 ATK 605 DS

    I did :

    -new chain and sprockets
    -new front brake line
    -new front brake switch
    -fixed headlight
    -new blinkers
    -new horn
    -fixed kickstand
    -new timing belt
    -new brake lever
    -clean carb
    -new carb boot
    -new street tires
    -remove analog speedo, install Trail Tech VAPOR (fucking awesome, speed, tach, ambient temp, 2 stage shift light, mileage, clock, etc)
    -rebuilt WP forks via GMD



    reg should show up next week

    will be commuting into cambridge on it 70+ miles per day

    bmw.... suv......minivan....WTF, WAS THAT A DIRTBIKE???

    need to practice my wheelies...

    LOVE the way this thing came out. I actually like the tall wheels with those tires on them.

    Not feelin that fender though. Maybe one of the less ktm style fenders below though...

    I was going to post something about not being afraid to mess with the gearing to get good traveling rpms, decided that was too obvious, and went with the standard positive reinforcement response.

    I donty know shit about motos so I appreciate all advice, though I already have new chain and sprockets on, so it is a bit late.
    Avg speed on my 35 mile commute is 30 mph though.

    Have you ridden a sumo before? They do 3 things insanely well: wheelie, stoppie, and shred tight twisties. Open throttle, front wheel up. One finger squeeze on front brake, back wheel up. And you only have to take a trip to an LRRS race to see what they can do on tight turns.
