Blue Ridge Parkway 2.0

I was so happy to do my yearly bike vacation again this year to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We rented a cabin right outside of Boone, NC for over a week this July and rode through NC, VA, and TN. 5 riders instead of 4 last year, but yet again another Volkswagen diesel pulling 3 of us with bikes all the down from New England averaging 34 mpg. An incredible trip again, this year with no tickets.....but one low side by the noob to the group on diamondback (only cosmetic). Pics and the awesome video (as was last year!)

The parkway is awesome. My friend Paul and me ran it for 200 miles during the week. Conditions were perfect. Never thought I could get tired of one beautiful corner after the other. But that whipped me by the end. I said one more sweeper and I'm gonna cry in my milk. Was so awesome. Looks like you guys had a great time. Congrats !

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. The sweepers and chicanes are so abundant it's hard to have favorites! Hitting it during the week is always the best bet, on the weekends its an endless train of slow tourists and HD's out for a potatoe cruise.
