    seditions ch*R1*stmas present / new bike

    So, after much internal agonized debate, some great offers, and 2 months of waiting, it looks like I'm soon to be riding a 2003 lmtd ed R1 (see pic of the bike below). The test ride I took on the bike a week ago sold me. The torque / power was mindblowing compared to my R6, albeit the R1 was a bit more sluggish going into turns....but DAMN, the power coming out them made me all . However, I'm still wondering how much I'm gonna be missing my 600cc come spring time when I'm bombing the twisties. Who knows, I may decide down the road that litre bikes are just macho-hype and "step-up" back to an R6. I got all the paperwork crap started with my bank today, so hopefully in a week or two I'm gonna be back on the road.

    Nice bike....
    Don't worry about hanging in the twisties, you will have no problem with that bike. You will just need to learn how to roll off a little bit earlier than you would on a 600cc bike.
    I'll bet it sounds real good with that pipe!

    Great looking bike, that is the bike I was originally going to purchase, but the deal I got for my Suzuki was better. Although I hope in the future there will be a few of the black and red flames leftover for me to pick one up atleast.
