    Talking Woohoo... new toys

Just got the gel seat for my bike and some saddlebags.

I'm psyched for the gap trip now.

Just some generic tour-master ones. Nothing special, but they weren't that expensive and they came with waterproof covers so it's all good. SB-34 is the model name I think.

Those are SO nice though. No matter, I believe they are like 4x as expensive as the ones I got, no thanks for now.

the actual units (i said "units") are okay, but the way they mount, at least on SVs, just looks like shit.

    i have spoken.

sounds kinda like the ones I got... and I've been real happy w/ mine. nuthin' to write home to mother about, but they mount securely, look alright, and hold a helluva lot more than I woulda thought...

Yah... right. We all know you don't care about appearances at all.

What with that ugly bike and all.

I think I'm going to really like the saddlebags.

Took me quite a while to figure out how to put them together. (No instructions) but they seem to stay on nice and stable, and I think I'm going to end up using them instead of my tail bag most of the time.

I'm also going to sell my tailbag when I get back from the gap and get the one that matches my saddlebags, as it connects to them to make the whole attachment setup easier. If anyone wants it I'll give you a good deal. It's probably been used maybe like 10-15 times and looks brand new. It's just going to be a PITA to connect it at the same time as the saddlebags I think, as it connects to the rails under the passenger seat, which are covered up by the saddlebags.

    Luggage Locker tailbag

    twrayinma,

I too like the Luggage Locker tail bag and have one on order right now for my '02 SVS. I should hopefully be getting it next week.

I have a bunch of new stuff ordered for my SVS that I can't wait to get installed:

    - Luggage Locker tailbag
    - SUNrisers clipon mod
    - SuperSliders frame sliders
    - Givi D157S Euroflip windscreen

I'm making my SVS into more of a mini-tourer, so I can begin doing some overnight trips this summer. I also have a tank bag from RKA Luggage that works great. Between the tank and tail bag, I should be able to pack a decent amount of gear.

One mod that I have already received and begun using is an add-on polarized sun-shield for my helmet from Polar Optics. Works like a champ and now I don't need to wear sunglasses beneath my helmet.

    Regards,

    Dan W.
