does anyone here have a Suomy helmet? any opnions on their performance in terms of venting, weight, wind noise... all that jazz...
I bought one last season, they have cool graphics. It was my first street helmet I have owned. I can't really compare it to others. I also have an HJC for snowmobiling and my girl has Shoei. They all seem to be about the same quality, the way the shield is attached seems to be the biggest difference. My $140 HJC is just as comfortable as my $400 Soumy, just not as cool looking.

I tried them on a little while ago. They have their own unique shape, if it fits you well it might be the way to go.
The visor design looked similar to Arai's, which I'm not crazy about.

I tried them on but they really didn'y fit my head-I ended up with a KBC VR-1 Euro from www.helmetharbor.com (after I had tried on lots of lids).
Here is a link to a Suomy review:

Although it sounds like you are in the Northshore MA/NH area-Depending upon where you are located try:
Bikeworx, Inc - 20 Main Street. Maynard, MA
978-897-0044 (sort of near Moto Market).
They were carrying a decent selection of Suomy helmets. This is where I tried them on.

Have you heard anything about the Daytona 600 (other than the standard published reports)?
