Curious for any comments on Wagner BMW for service. I need some service on my R1200GSA, normally I use Second Wind who are great but Wagner is 9 miles from my office and Second Wind is way way farther.

Jay, the service manager, is a ripper. He came out with us and rode a GSA like it was a kdx200. I can't speak to to the quality/pricing of their work, but the dude himself is cool.

Been very happy with their service (BMW and Aprilia).
Jay has been very helpful. (Can't speak to whether he is a ripper or not. Only have seen him at YB destinations, not on the road ;-)
nah dude, he took that thing through the woods like it was his job.

Over the phone they seem good.

I'd post at yankeebeemers - they're the most fanatical.
I did a search and didn't find any negatives.

CAUTION- A lot has changed at Wagner over winter, I have a buddy who works there part time and is good friends with Mark (general manager). They have gone down hill really fast and unsure how quick they will get back on there feet. NOt sure the whole story but they wiped out all there staff and brought in new guys.
I ordered a part there over winter, went back 3 times because they had to order again (couldnt find it) and then they gave me a lame excuse and knew nothing about the part.

I had a really bad experience with them a few years back. Ducati service, REALLY BAD!
I have not stepped foot back in since.
Long story short. They Fed Ex'd me all the hardware they forgot to put back on the bike after I got it home. And they were riding it! Oil cooler not mounted, not one of valve cover bolts were tight, didn't need a wrench to check them, only a thread or 2 was caught on each bolt. They were sticking way up over the cover, very obvious. etc...

Man...why is every dealer like this? Wagner would be so much more convenient.

there are people here in NESR that work for Wagner BMW...they post up those demo rides past two summers.....i've heard good things about them from a friend...but i do not have any personal transactions with them.

I've had bad experiences at good dealers of the walk-on-water variety. It happens.
And don't believe everything you think.
Those guys who post here still work there? From the previous post, it sounds like a lot of changes!
My friend had a gearbox problem on his 848 at the end of the riding season last year, Wagner fixed it and he booked 3 trackdaydays in Jersey 2 weeks ago without riding it in between. The same problem re-ocurred 40 track miles later!! It is now back at Wagner. Could be coincidence????
-Dunbar in Brokton would be my recommendation for any BMW service or sales. Tom runs a pretty good shop down there. Ducati service? not so much...again, my personal opinion.
Why not Duncan's Beemers in Maynard?

Ended up dropping it off at second wind.
The bike won't start, it's under warranty so I am leaving it to them. They think it's clogged injectors from the fuel, but we shall see.

I had good luck with Wagner. They treated me well when I got my final drive serviced.

did you put a additive in last year (star tron) and or start it mid winter?
i put star tron in and started mine mid winter. it started no problem in the middle of the winter but didn't want to start this spring. i ended up getting going by holding the throttle close to 1/4 open.
fwitw: i drive by all the mentioned dealers on my way to second wind. there the only ones i'll let work on my bike!
this new gas sucks i think im going to start using race gas in everything for its off season. i'm tired of cleaning carbs and replacing jets

I used the ethanol stabil, that's it. It started with some throttle on Sunday but gave me trouble on and off Tuesday and then wouldn't start after a 30 mile ride Thursday.Originally Posted by sandman
Shelly at second wind said intermittent starting issues is likely injectors from the gas. She ordered some before my bike even got dropped off Friday am in anticipation of that being the issue.
