Any experience with this type of bike transport?

Does anyone have any experience with this product (or something similar)? I need a way to transport my bike to/from track-days this year, and I'm wondering if this is a reasonable alternative to using a trailer. Opinions are welcome as well.

Here's a link to the product:

Motorcycles And Dirt Bike Carriers, Scooter Hauler, Motorcycle Carrier Hitch

    Thanks.

you need to check the tongue capacity of your vehicle and see if it will support that kind of weight. I have seen posts with this kind of thing before and a lot of people tend to say they suck, ut I have no first hand exp.

i've seen somethin like that on the back of a caddy... it was a fuckin riot. scraped the shit out of itself at the bottom of the hill goin into the tunnel leaving the track.

I got the 4'x8' 12" rim trailer from Harbor Freight... alot of other guys on here have it as well & for the price, you really can't beat it.

    Trailer - 289 shipped
Lumber & hardware for flooring & side rails - 'bout 100

Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

think the price went back up a little.

any thing that has a tongue capacity to carry a bike has a bed in the back

worthless for anything more than a moped IMHO

One of my friends made one of those for his jeep. It worked pretty well, but i'd much rather have my bike in a truck bed or on a trailer. For that price though, i'd just build one with probably less than $100 in materials.

I wouldn't trust that. It is only 1/8" thick. & Anti Wabble... Bull shit!!

I had something similar for my old dirt bike but the bike was only 240 lbs. The rack I had wabbled like mad unless you put tie downs everywhere. I can't believe that will not wabble.....

Buy a small trailer and get a $300 hitch put on your car. Best bet! Even better, BUY A NICE TRUCK!

I like the idea of a separate trailer for carrying additional track day essentials as well. I think I'll go the Harbor Freight route. Thanks everyone.
