It happens; people should start out learning on bikes in a more wide open space for just that reason.
My brother in law did that to a mailbox the day I helped him start riding. He rode the rest of the day ok (I taught him "If you get in trouble, pull in the clutch and the brake and start over" philosophy), and has been a good rider for about 3 years now.
I dont suggest the tank top and shorts with no helmet setup that guy had going.![]()
