    Well I did it....

    Finally got the bike i've been drooling over for the past 8 or so years. Sold the CBR on Sunday, gave the seller a deposit Monday, and rode her home today. I know this thread is worthless w/o pics, so they will be up with full specs later. For now, it's a 2001 RC-51, 1 owner, 4k mi, tastefully modded and clean as hell. For now im goin ridin...

    Yep. I have a 51 also. Very fun to ride. Lots of people will dog it, but they havnt ridden one. Tons of torque, and its plenty fast. Not as fast as the new inline liter bikes, it seems this is how we judge a bikes worth now-a-days....by its speed. Have fun, get a steering damper if there isnt one on it.

    Thanks folks, just walked in, did 160 miles today/tonight, love it. Defenitely takes some getting used to, its coming slowly but surely. Thank god for the Seargent seat, my arse is a little sore anyway, but the stocker is like sitting on a rock. Tires need to be done soon, other than that shes mint. I took a couple crappy pics from my new phone, but cant figure out how to load the fuggers, might be tomorrow before they are up, but they'll be here soon.

    I loved my RC51. It's a great bike. There is quite a difference between the SP-1 and SP-2 though. The 2002 and up were considered SP-2's. Enjoy it though, there's a lot of great information about those bikes to make them really perform.
