Finally had a chance to flog the new gixxah 600.... at VIR. Props to Peter Kates and Degsy for getting the bike ready. Suspension setup was unreal (nice job, Peter). Degsy rounded everything out to get the bike race prepped and did an amazing job. NOTHING needed to be changed, as Degsy can attest. The bike was very fast around the North Course. I had it to 170 on the front straight...Degsy took it for a flog and had it to 174 (said it would not go any faster). That's damn fast...but I'd expect nothing but pure performance from a gixxah. It had no problem taking on liter bikes, including several 1098s.
I will post pictures soon. Bodywork and paint job came out great. Will be affixing GSXR stickers with the grim reaper (of course) on the side and will be adding the numbers soon. Looking forward to 4/26.
Props to everyone I saw (and met) at the track. Looking forward to getting to know you all better. Btw, Dennis looks damn cute in spandex shorts and Dianese knee socks.
