Thanks Pete ,, Its in an e-mail that Elaine sent to me . I can't post the damn thing !
save the pic to your hard drive, on your desktop or somethin... if you need to, open it in MSPaint and shrink it so it's less than 600x600 pixels then attach it in your post - down below where you type there's a section that says "Attach file:"... click "Browse...", find the pic & send away

This may be it ?
YES I did it !
Welcome to the internet !
that would be a Yamaha FZR600... not sure which year, but it's definitely not a '91 (only year they had a different upper fairing on it w/o the circular headlights, it was more angled. '91 had a single lamp.)
just looked around on www.bikepics.com & w/ that graphic scheme, my guess is it's probably a '97 or somewhere around there, but it's tough w/ the missing lowers
not the strongest 600 of it's time, but a great handling bike for it's time. nice & light.
EDIT: it's a '94 - http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/115665/

91 is the only year with the single headlight i believe....
PS: And yes, Steve... it would make a good cheap trackbike for ya(if it's cheap & well maintained, that is)

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
Yup, FZR600. Couldnt tell you what year, but Petes research is probably correct. I <3 mine (when something isnt on fire in the electrical). You shouldnt have any problems, that one looks fairly pristine, and most of my problems were due to shoddy wiring/added aftermarket parts. How many miles? Whats the price?

Pete - not the strongest 600 of its time????
Two AMA 600SS Championships not good enough?
The last bike to take a Privateer to the 600 title in 1989 ( Scott Zampach).
Daytona 600 win with that fruit loop Kocinski in 1989. Thomas Stevens at Daytona in 1990. Stevens' bike is on display at Barber now.
The bike in the photo is one of the last years - 95-96?

Last year was 97 I believe, and Pete determined its a 94.![]()

wasn't something called Genesis the first 5 valve yamaha? prob not the same thing even tho that bike says genesis on it.
You're absolutely right Dave... only reason why I was thinkin that was cuz they were still producing the FZR when they came out w/ the YZF, but that was a few years after this one here was made, obviously.... so i retract my statment, may the Jury please disreguard my comments reguarding the FZR's lack of cajones and may they be stricken from the recordOriginally posted by Karaya One

I loved my '94
Even more so after I grafted an R6 tail to her.

I am the Plate, Step Up to Me
I see from the picture it has already recieved the Elaine Ou special oil change.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
May I add to the record that i do not wish the FZR's cajones be stricken from the record, but my comments requarding the FZR's lack of cajones. Once again, the FZR's cajones may be noted in the record, my statment reguarding it's lack of cajones may be stricken. And please note on record that I am not PHYSICALLY striking the FZR's cajones in any way, but striking my comments from the record. Once again, the FZR's cajones are alive and well.... and on the record.Originally posted by OreoGaborio

So what do we think its worth ??? I still haven't heard from the gent weather he's selling it or not ,,, i'm sure he may . Seems the group he hangs with ride american iron ,,,,,, so he's looking into one of them .
.
Looking around it still seems to get a healthy price tag somewhere in the $2500-$3000 area for a early ninetys ride ???
