I have rust in the tank of my "new" bike the 76'kz Where can i get the etching compound to remove it? My local bike shop says it will take a week to get it and I'm impatient.![]()

My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
There used to be a whole kit available called Kreem tank treatment. Take a look at autoparts places like Napa, Autozone, or on line bike places like Dennis Kirk. They should be able to help you out overnight. The process does take a few days to complete though because of the drying time. Hope this helps.

For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction - and sometimes a scar...

Well, he could just use the prep liquid and skip the sealant. This would get the rust out of his tank. Fuel milage might be affected though with all the pin holes that get opened up in the tank....

My carbs are out so It's not starting anyways ya Kak. even if they were in one carb is missing a screw in the float bowl so I doubt it would run.Originally posted by OreoGaborio
