I guess some people keep their finances separate, but as far as I'm concerned, even though I make twice what my husband does, its all our money. I buy what I want, he buys what he wants, we budget based on a joint income.

You do make a valid point. But the money I make never reaches the checking/savings accounts lol. What I make usually gets spent on random (sometimes useless) stuff.

She doesn't mind it though since I had to sell my car and bike years ago to handle the bills while she was in college.

I guess people handle things differently, but we pool all of our money and pay bills from the account. We each get XX amount of spending money (the same amount) to spend on discretionary stuff and then bigger purchases are discussed and made from savings. That way if one of us loses our job or takes a pay cut, no one feels like they're contributing more or less to the household. I think when finances are kept separate, it just sets the stage for a power struggle.

lol yea most of her co-workers are already taken, alot of my friends ask her whenever they see her. But yeah if you guys see a pharmacist with no ring on their finger don't hesitate to have a try at it.
