    Highsided today.

Yup, I managed to put myself over the top of an XR50 today. I walked away unscathed thanks to my winter cap, leather driving gloves which are now completely ruined, pea coat, sweat pants over my jeans, over which I had those Icon shin/knee armor over, and my New Balances.

Quite possibly the most fun little bike ever, along with most dangerous.

glad you didn't highside the fzr on the street!

5 minutes? Took me maybe 2-3 minutes on it the first time to land a wheelie with the bars cocked and throw myself over the front of the bike. My shoulder kind of hurts from that one I think.

I'm just waiting for the video to be uploaded.

Yeah, the one thing that amazed me yesterday was that no one was seriously injured. Especially after snapping down a few wheelies too hard with the rear brake and going right over the front end.

Someone broke their neck a few years ago in a pitbike race at Loudon. Bad riding is dangerous no matter what you're on!

they're f-ing dangerous... of course the big issue is usually the amount of alcohol consumed immediately before someone says "hey! let's fire up all the mini's!"

Yeah, we took it in the snow too, except it had a knobby on the front, and a street tire in the rear. So you can imagine how that went.

Actually, isn't it better to have better traction on the front?

When you're riding in the snow, sliding the back end out is how all your riding ends up being.

But when you lose the front, you're going down.

In the snow and on the ice you're sliding them both around. Makes great practice for pushing limits on the asphault.
