Alicia don't take offense to this, it's just friendly advise.
I think your logic is backwards. Before you start doing track days, I think it would be a wise idea to take an MSF course (experienced class since you already ride). They will teach you the PROPER techniques on how to ride and handle a bike.
Who know's maybe you're doing something incorrectly which is causing the drops. An MSF course is an excellent way start getting into good riding habbits, and you'll also figure out if you've been doing something wrong.
Like I said, just friendly advise.

what billy is trying to say is that all the crap you bought for your bike can't save your shitty riding skills.
i know babe... i'm gonna take that sometime soon so i can get my license and a break on insurance...I'm not doing trackdays to learn how to ride though... well i've had "expert" riders on my bike and they say the handling is limited because they think it was lowered more than just an inch... we'll see... i had no problems with the R1... it was just uncomfortable and a little bit harder to back out on a hill...
This thread sucks so much, I thought it was about![]()
I had a 98 gsxr that was lowered and it handled like dogshit at speed but slow speeds were fine..... def. a good move returning to stock height...keep practicing the slow speed stuff....learn using the rear brake and clutch if you can't touch the ground...
I assume you know how to operate a bike.....a trackday will help you learn how to ride it....Jane will show you how![]()
for the record... i did NOT get most of my plastics fixed...![]()
Honclif, you doing ok over there?![]()
"fuckit!"
