OK so I have my 04 ZX-6R and it has its stock tires and they have about 5200 miles on them. As far as I can tell the tread looks pretty good on them, how much life should I expect out of these bad boys?

the way you ride? they'll last foreverjk...
what kind are they? 208's? what pressures ya runnin?
i'm guessin you can squeeze out a few more months of usage, but if you're doin a trackday soon then i'd think about gettin new rubber.

it all depends on your riding style...check the wear bars...
Unfortunetly I'm lazy and dont check the tire pressure often enough, so I'm not sure what it is right now. I don't ride knee draggin hard, I still have small chicken strips on each side, hopefully going away at the track. Perhaps Ill have someone at bike night look.

yeah, pressures are pretty important to the life of a tire.... not a huge deal for easy street riding, but i try to check em every once in a while. it's a good idea to get in the habbit of it. i carry a small digital pressure gauge in my toolkit under my rear seat & check every week or two.
i'm sure you can squeeze out another 1-2k as long as they've got even wear distribution

My rear tire is a slick right now. I'm riding up to NH to change it tonight. If there are any thundershowers it's going to be like riding on ice, wish me luck. You can ride your tires till the cords start showing, but it's safer to replace them a couple days before. If you're running varying tire pressures the tires will cup and make the bike handle wierd, then you have to replace the front everytime you do the rear as opposed to two rears for one front.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
dude, becareful man.. depending on where your headed.. 293N has some grooved pavement in a few areas.
Well I will be replacing the front and back when I replace these to get pilots
