Yeah a friend of mine was driving down 93 very soon after it happened and he saw the body. Ill spare the details, but it wasn't pretty.

R.I.P Eric Armington.

He was a really good guy. Eric was a good customer of ours at Riverside and will be missed, he used to pop in randomly to say Hi to all of us and would chit-chat about random stuff.

Now with that said, I wanna point out that Eric wasn't a rookie rider and knew how to ride pretty well. Not sure exactly what caused the accident but regardless we all gotta stay on our toes, more so the next month or so as weather gets nicer and cagers slowly adapt to having us around them. Sorry if i sound a little corny but whatever this one hit a bit too close for me (along with being too early in the season).

Ther are some sections just before the commuter land that tosses me up. If your suspension is stiff it will flip you up if you do not expect it. I have learned to stand on the peg with about 2" between the seat and my arse. Hell. now that I think of it I lost my speedometer cable because of this bump some 12 years ago.

There are other section worse than these heading 93 south, south of the city. There is a 20' long trench that is at least 4"-6" deep and 3"-4" wide that is also waiting to kill some one. Not to mention that patches around the catch basins that have a 4" drop. Pssst... not enough cement jack asses. Guess they spent all the money this winter plowing. What is a life worth. A couple thou… I’m guessing.

This is a really good point. I sometimes realize that I am riding too close to the car in front of me and the thing that makes me reaize this is that I end up hitting someting in the road because I haven't allowed enought time between me and the car in front to see and react.

I conciously try and back off when in traffic to allow myself to see what comes out from under the car in front in time to do something about it.

Same it occasionally true for me. Roads aren't particularly good up here in VT, but 93 just outside of Boston is truly horrendous.
