I have a few spare sheilds for my helmet I picked up from someone, and they arent in bad shape, but have some light scratching. I have this 3 step Novus plastic polish set that I've had for awhile that I bought for some plexi I was cleaning up, and wondering if there'd be any adverse affects to the shields? I have a light smoked and clear CX-1V Shoei sheilds I'm gonna do. Granted they *ARE* spares, and if I ruined one, no huge loss, but I'd rather not just throw them away if I dont need to.
Gonna be ok?
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
try it on a small spot. if it doesn't work try Plexus. it's made for polishing and cleaning plastics. it does take out fine scratches. i use it on my AGV Iridium shield and my $500 prescription glasses.
can't we all just get along? the snake. ssssss!
+10,000 for Plexus ...
it's the shizzle!

i had an "old timer" that told me to use Brasso on my bike's windscreen. it was all hazy. it worked the nuts. cleared it right up.

The Novus 3 stage system works REALLY well. follow up with Plexus and they'll be good as new.
Scratches are pretty deep on one of these, I'd be better off going out and buying some sandpaper.Oh well, I can clean them up a bit anyways and take the haze out of them.

I've resurrected some windscreens this way. Start out with 2000 grit wet/dry paper (wet of course) then the Novus. Works well.
