Yamaha R1 short Pipe ....will it pass Inspection??

I recently purchased a 2003 Yamaha R1. It has a short pipe that comes out down near the right foot peg. It looks like someone made it custom. It is not very loud. i do like how it looks.
My question is will I get hasseled when I go to get a MASS sticker?
Are there specific Pipe or noise rules for MASS?

Thanks for any input as I am new to the sport bike scene.

If it's apparent that there are no cats, then my first guess is that it won't pass.

I'm pretty sure that technically, any modified exhaust is illegal in MA.

That said, I have modified exhausts on both my car and bike -- both have passed no problem.

It all depends where you go.
What passes for a sticker does not mean the officers won't hassle you if you're caught being a squid.
