I'm not into spending all that money on a USED motard. For what i'm doin, that DRZ400SM will work just fine.

Apparently Clayton, you're STILL wrong. You *DO* want it for racing. And from what I gather, Heath wants to spank you?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
You're right. I'm sorry guys, I figured I knew what I wanted, but apparently I was wrong. A 295 lb motorcycle is rediculously close to being as heavy as my 505 lb dry Z-Rex. Suzuki makes a crappy bike. I should buy something used for the same or more than I can buy this new bike for. I should not worry about a title or inspection since I will do nothing but race with it. I should instead spend $6,599 on a brand new WR450F and another grand and a half on a super-motard kit since I will do nothing but racing. Good thing I don't need lights or mirrors for racing, or I would be getting close to eight grand after everything is said and done!
And gentlemen, I will be willing to wager that after all is accounted for (lights, mirrors, heavy ass bike, RIDER), I will still come up tipping the scales close to you RACERS out there.
When you weigh 130lbs, the weight of the bike matters little.
If I wanted to race, I'd buy a 2-stroke.![]()

p.s. if you were really serious about that weight statement and the hp difference you'd own a klr already for 1/3 the price of any motahhd, fyi. :p
But I don't LIKE the KLR. It doesn't come with SM wheels and tires and it's air cooled.
I just hope Yamaha or Honda gets off their ass and makes some nice SM bikes from the factory.
