I have been trying to decide which exhaust to go with and have been stumbling on some great videos with great sound. Just thought I would pass this along. It's the M4. Sounds great! Any opinions out there as far as the best to go with?

Is that thing blowing oil when he comes off the throttle?
Anyway here is another option for the 06 600. I have their stuff on my RC51 and its really high quality.

after those pics. i would go with the akrapovic on the right or the Laser, or the GP evo or (even though i hate them) the Micron

Also keep in mind if you want your bike to run smoothly, you might need to install a PCIII, and maybe a BMC/K&N air filter.
For the '06 I still say TaylorMade makes the nicest looking exhaust. And it supposedly sounds great also.
I completely agree as well. I think all of the aftermarket exhausts look horrible except the M4 and the Taylormade.
I think the sound on the M4 is really annoying. It's got that high pitched bee hive sound to it. Taylormade has an amazing sound, and it has a stock look to it.
So far, I am leaning with the Akra. I also like one by Yoshi that is very sleek. Sound and performance are the two factors that are affecting my decision. Keep the info coming though. You guys rock!!![]()

Can you describe the kind of sound you looking for?
pack of angry bees vs. pack of angry wasps?
Get whatever you want, they're all the same.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
LOL
that pretty much sums up all the aftermarket exhausts (most of them at least).
Punjistick and myself have read about if you remove the Set valve on the header pipe it makes the exhaust louder. I don't know if there's any truth to that since I still have my set valve installed, and I dont have a decible reader.
Sweeet! Thanks Billy![]()
No problem Bill. Like I said, those are just my opinions from listening to all those sound clips and word of mouth. Good luck with your choice!!
When you do end up making your decision, here's a couple good places to check out for pricing:
Hammy The Can Man
Motorcycle Exhaust and Accessories - Yoshimura Cobra Akrapovic Two brothers Scorpion Harley Exhaust Pipe Systems | Pipe City
Fuel Moto USA - Power Commanders - Exhaust
I've been a big fan of the Yosh exhausts on both of my bikes. Definitely a lower tone than some of the slip-on options out there.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Physically I hate the carbon tip. It should be all metal in my opinion. I still got my stock on, but Taylormade has been calling my name in my sleep.
I really like it a lot because it's not bulky, flows well with the body, and it looks like a stock exhaust but has an amazing sound to it.
If I hear what it sounds like in person (online sounds clips aren't accurate in my opinion) I might take the plunge and get the exhaust, PCIII, custom map, and a better air filter.
I think it's the best MotoGP style exhaust for our bikes.
