you could fuckin pickup the bike to whack somebody and call it using it's power. wtf yo! next guy acusing me of not speaking english, im gonna fuckin shoot the dog.
"fuckit!"
The first word of a sentence should be capitalized.
And "pick up" is two words.
And in that instance, there's no apostrophe in "it's".... "its power"
And there's two c's in "accusing"
And the word "English" is capitalized
And there's an apostrophe in "I'm" and the I is capitalized.
And there's an apoostrophe at the end of "fuckin'"
... but you're not speaking it here, you're reading & typing it.... so it's all good.![]()

I agree with Jay's definition of "using all that power".
Any tool box can hold the throttle wide open, it's a matter of actually *using* that power to propel you in other directions besides straight.
I race a 600 and have no problem saying that I know I haven't yet exploited all the power from that machine. How do I know? Because I'm not done getting faster on it, that's how.
So, you can *develop* peak power all day long, but can you actually *use* all of it?

I got an 1100 because I was bored with my 1000
never use all that power? i use all the power all the time. in fact, my throttle is permanently pinned wide open so that i don't accidentally use anything less.
ATPATT, motherfuckers.

I know this is the Internet, but I used to be a journalist... So, thank you Pete for you grammar lesson. I thought I was the only one that found poor use of the language irritating...
No, what I mean is, at 60, 70, 80, I roll the throttle in 4th or 5th gear and get all the go I need without rowing through the gearbox looking for a little grunt. I doubt I've had this bike above 7500. There's simply no need on the street. It has nothing to do with 60 or 100 in first gear, because with a literbike, there's no call to redline the thing on the street.
Not if the object is to ride and still keep your license. Besides, I'm an old fuckah, I did all the squid shit on the street before most of the hotshots here were outta the 3rd grade. I was up to here with it many moons ago. You CAN be at one with and enjoy your bike without thrashing it everywhere you go. At some point, you get tired of courts, cops, points, DMV, all of it. Just because I got good at beating them didn't mean I enjoy it. The safety issues of redlining a bike and running to the rims in turns on the street, well, you'll have to work that out for yourseff!!!

Hey Kham ... you drunk or did you get another concussion?

If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride would do.
But if you ride a 1000, can you use all of the power in your pants?![]()
Bam! We have a winner.
I get the impression that some of the people that race here are getting butt hurt cause we're talking about a motorcycle's power but not in connection with their ability.
Let's make this clear, no one is saying that any shmo that can get on a bike and hold the throttle is "better" than you, but he can use all the power the bike is producing. He may not be doing it leaned over full tilt in turn 6 but he is doing it. The engine doesn't care if you're on 95 of leaned over in turn 3 it is still producing horsepower.
That leads me to the "using" arguement. Just because someone can't use it to your ability doesn't mean they're not using it. That's you're ego trying to not get bruised.

Everyone gets used to the power eventually... That doesn't mean they can handle it or respond accordingly when the shit hits the fan.

Look at the big brain on Pete! You a smart mother fucker! Yes you are!
Richie, I never said they could ride well, hell I'll even make fun of the size of their chicken strips and nor do I think they should buy the bike. I never said otherwise.

so now we're donw to technic to use full power. so yea before you push that button that said "full power" you may need to do some sort of jesus cross techniqu sign and hope it wouldn't blow up in your face and not be able to argue about full power again. if you're a women then you may need to get naked first to harness the full power of the cube.
but i wouldn't understand that because i dont speak the language when i came out of some poor lady's vagina.

"fuckit!"
Well, I started on a 900rr, so the only logical step for a next bike was a 1000
