Youth Moto-X boots for street riding

Since there doesn't seem to be ANY manufacturers who make a decent street riding boot for kids, would a youth moto-x boot be good for riding on the street?

    Or are they too stiff?

I would think they would be just fine. He is a passenger so he doesn't need the articulation for shifting or braking. Plus they are a whole lot better than Nikes

*The above is my opinion. I am not a doctor or qualified in any way

+1 they keep your feet from being mangled off road, they will be fine for a street ride.

6 might be just a hair too big, but they'd give "growing room"

PK has a pair that you need to sell?? Why doesn't this make sense?

MX boots offer far more protection than street boots Perfect for a passenger IMO. If you end up with them, get the MX socks as well. They are MUCH more comfortable than regular socks and even offer a bit more protection/padding.

No one has answered the question of stiffness. Would they be too stiff for street riding? Aren't they a little stiffer than street boots?

Yes they are more stiff. Why would that matter for a passenger? I do not think they would be too stiff. I know a lot of dual sport riders that wear them on the street.

I could actually shoot down to GMD and take a look at them, since I live 3 miles from the shop.

Have to be next week though, since I'm in AR this week.

Cool. Maybe I'll hit your place up the next time I have him, which should be next Saturday.
