gotta bunch of calls last night from my friends asking me if i wrecked my bike in wilmington just off 129 near the shawsheen school...was not me so i found this article, im sure u guys dont know nichols street, but they say he was going 100-120, going 45-50 on that road is stupid enough...
WILMINGTON -- Police say the motorcyclist was already speeding when he blew past Brooks Pharmacy at Route 129 and Main Street, and when a police officer pulled out to stop him, the driver just went faster.
The officer could not even keep up to the driver on the Suzuki motorcycle, which was soon found in pieces, its driver critically injured, at the end of Nichols Street.
Police said Andrew Baldie, 22, of Melrose was found at the bottom of a chain-link fence and flown to Brigham and Hospital in Boston last night shortly before 9 p.m.
Baldie's condition was not immediately available.
Deputy Police Chief Robert Richter said the officer who was after the motorcyclist had fallen behind by about five seconds when the crash occurred, so the officer did not see the crash. He came upon it within seconds.
"When he saw the blue lights, he really laid into it," Richter said of the motorcyclist. "But he was flying before then."
The driver passed several cars as he sped down Route 129, Richter said.
The driver then turned down Nichols Street, and was apparently not familiar with the area, because little more than a very short stretch of black marks indicated any attempt to slow down where Nichols Street ends in a T intersection with Brown Street, according to Richter.
Witnesses at the scene told police they thought the bike was going 100 to 120 mph as it traveled down Nichols Street, which runs off Route 129, according to Richter.
The motorcycle and rider continued through the intersection, crashing through some bushes, grazing a stone marker and slamming into a chain-link fence, according to Richter.
"It was in 100 pieces," Richter said of the motorcycle.
Richter said police are still determining exactly what charges the driver will face. He will be summonsed, at least, for operating to endanger, failure to stop for police, and speeding, Richter said.
He was taken by ambulance to the field at the Shawsheen Elementary School, where he was loaded onto a MedFlight helicopter and taken to Boston.

A twist of the throttle must have seemed like a better option than the fines and suspension for speeding and operating to endanger. Oh wait, he's getting that anyway along with failure to stop. That'll be if his luck turns around and he lives long enough to go to trial. What a shame ...
Dude, why would you EVER ride that fast????!!!! Especially in such a highly traveled area like route 129?!
Tough way to have to learn a lesson.
oh, and why does it ALWAYS have to be a god damn suzuki?!
All the squids buy the GIXXA!!!![]()

Seems like buying a sportsbike nowadays should be as strict as buying a gun.
Typical assumptions about a gixxer rider...he was obviously inexperienced and panicked when he saw the red lights and heard the siren. After being severely frightened by the cop's unwarranted and bullying antics, the poor kid accidentally twisted the throttle when he meant to gently grab some front break and come to a slow, safe stop.

This is the outcome of all the motorcycle message boards condoning running from the cops. Do you know why you never hear anybody talking about not getting away? Because they die.
Pull over and take it like a man. If you can't do the time dont do the crime. Thats why I haven't started robbing banks. Yet.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I got pulled over this morning. 4th time with a verbal warning. Obviously I'm not Asian either.
if i was that guy i'd commit suicide afterward.
