So it's heavier and than a backpack, holds less than a tankbag, and costs three times as much as either of them?
Other than the fact that it comes in faux carbon fiber, what exactly is the appeal of that thing?
They're available at most online m/c places. Lockhart Philips comes to mind. They're actually pretty sweet, and hold a suprisingly large amount of loot. I think Ken C did a write up for MCN when they first came out...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

Just says "Carbon Finish".
I bet it's expensive enough that they could make a real Carbon backpack for a similar price.

Does anyone carry their Laptop in a backpack. I have been looking at packs specially designed for them, but am worried that it will be damaged with all the bouncing and vibration?

Someone recommended Tumi Backpack but it's $300, and that would be better spent on a new rear tire and jet kit..

Good point.. unless you crash.. then again if you crash on the plane that wouldn't fare to well for the laptop either.. LOLOriginally posted by T-595 Greg
no more bouncing and vibration on a bike than "under the seat in front of you" on a plane.

If any of you are looking for a courier bag I'll slide in a local plug - check out Bailey Works . All of their bags are hand made in NH. I've had mine for the better part of 10 years and it hasn't lost a stich yet.
Also, they make a specialized Laptop bag that looks like it'd be exactly what you're looking for. And with so many colors to choose from you can pretty much get one to match your bike.
The main store is located in Downtown Portsmouth, NH.

I didn't wear the bag I got from them on my motorcycle very often but I used it for bicycle commuting. It was pretty much 100% waterproof, very tough (made of Cordura), etc.. and well designed. I'd definitely say it's tougher than most of the mass market stuff out there. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it survived a slide down the highway.
They would even make you one custom to match your bike if you wanted. And it's always nice to be able to support a local company.
