almost forgot about the whole "no kickstand" rule at the track so i'm gonna have to get somethin in a hurry. Just emailed/pm'ed a few places to see what kinda deals i can get.
what do you guys suggest? should i bother getting a slider/spool combo or just normal spools? i suppse if i go w/ the combo it'd help if i had sliders on the frame, too
only thing that sucks about my bike is if i want frame sliders that bolt to the engine mounts like they should i'm gonna have to relocate the coolant overflow tank & drill a couple holes in the fairings![]()
............. oh fuck it's 4am![]()

Drilling the fairings is no problemo, I did it, you can too.
Put Play-Doh on the back of your fairing, leave the mount bolt 3/4 of the way out, press fairing into place, remove. Where the play-doh impression of the bolt head is, dirll son, drill. Use a hole saw, 1/8-1/4 oversize, drill from the inside out.
Buy your sliders, front, back, & handle bar ends.

No kickstand rule?
I think thats a recommendation, not a rule....I hadn't planned to bother with taking mine off, as I ride like an old lady.....![]()
Don't have to take the kickstand off for any trackday that I've been to. I never had a problem with mine on the 929, but I know Jamie and Mike were dragging there's on the RC51's.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
From the Cornerspeed Bike Preparation Requirements
5. Side stand and/or Center stand must be secured in the up position using safety wire or zip ties. We prefer that you remove it but it is not required. You are required to have the stands secured in the up position before going onto the racetrack.
