This is a total dumbass question.. but I need help. My headlight went out ('02 zx6r ) and where there's only a low beam on one side, I forget which freakin side it is.
Also, do you guys recommend any aftermarket lights or should I just go with the generic replacement?
Thanks and I apologize for cluttering the board with a nimrod request.
thanks...
Do you have an owners manual? Should say in that.
Looks like your lowbeam is on the right if you are facing the headlight. Not 100% sure.
i dont have a manual, but i think i've hunted down the pdf online before. i'll try that.
course all my lazy ass would have to do is switch out each bulb and see for myself... but i AM lazy.... well, somewhat.
thanks for the advice.
hey, dedham... too funny.. i grew up in norwood
thanks maing
Buy the pair of silverstars. They are cheaper in the pair and you will need it at SOME point.

If you only have a low beam on one side then someone changed it from stock. It should have 2 low beams/2 high beams.
Get the regular halogen lights if you do any night riding. Those white bulbs SUCK at night, especially if the road is wet.

If your talking about getting a packaged pair, you not getting motorcycle silverstar,
the ones that come packages as a pair have a beam designed for a cage reflector, bulbs for motorcycle beams are different and only come packaged as singles

thanks guys... can recall the name right now, but i got what i needed..... some ultra white, xeon.. bright as all get out. bulb is tinted blue. lookin freakin sweet!
On my 12R which should have nearly identical headlights as the 6R, I couldn't see any difference between the "motorcycle" bulb and the twin pack so now I save a full $0.50 per bulb by buying a pair!Originally posted by RandyO

Not sure which bulbs you used but the Silverstars have been very good during wet night rides.Originally posted by SWEET_Z
