Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Seriously US Suzuki might give a substantial
reward or at least a new one at cost.
To get back a bike with 100 K
There may Europeans who have this but
I bet your the only one in the USA especially
in a seasonal climate

That is some amazing mileage for a "budget" bike. Jap reliability is simply amazing. A twin cylinder small displacement bike pulling 100,000 miles would be unheard of 15 years ago.
I read an article about an Air Force guy who put over 100,000 miles on his R1. Every weekend he would go out and see how far he could go and still make it back to work on monday.
I want in on this ride. May not make the full ticket, but I wanna be there for part of it. Hell, I remember when that thing was just a young pup (the SV, not Randy!)...
BTW-Randy failed to mention he's still on the STOCK clutch!
How close'd you get this past weekend, Randy-most?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I thought the clutch was just rebuilt prior to this past Deals Gap trip?? Still an amaizing accomplishment for that bike!!!![]()
I know I can n ot make that start point or time, but definately would like to slab it up to some point in order to head into VT/NY with ya'll. I have a wedding the night before that is going to have me hanging the next morning... Randy can you PM me a good spot to meet up with you say around 9 or 10 AM....

my first gas stop will be at the country store/Citgo station next to the State Police barracks in Royalton,VT Exit 3 on I-89 about 1 mile west on Route 107.
should roll in there about 9:00-9:30am
Yup, still on original clutch. I replaced clutch cable, perch & lever just before our trip to Deals. lever was so sloppy, it moved up and down more than in & out

Way to go RandyO! I know that BMW has mile rewards for their motorcyclists, and issue some sort of a reward for every 100,000 miles.
There is a guy with a BMW at motomarket who has over 680,000 miles on his 1970 beemer![]()

i have to work tomorrow night at 4pm but I may be able to meet up with you down in the Mad River Valley somewhere. Any reason you are hittin the lincoln gap and not the App Gap (route 17). Only a few miles seperate the 2 and the lincoln gap is known for its shitty road (gravel/dirt). I know you don't mind that Randy but its not a flat gravel road but a steep curvy gravel road.....
Let me know what the plan is for when you plan on being around the gap area in VT and I will see if it woul dbe possible for me to catch up for jsut a couple of miles or just even to say hi as we pass. Gonna be there around lunch time? there is a decent little burger pub place in waitsfield I am rather fond of....
Bras cause cancer.
I suspect, We will be hitting Rt 17 on the way west, about 10:30-11:00 am , Lincoln Gap on the way back, and that depends on who shows up, yes I am very familiar with Lincoln Gap, steep?, twisty?, You haven't ever been on NC 281 have you ?Originally posted by Nikon

so...how'd it go?
Bras cause cancer.
so how did it go
It wasoneof the best riding days I ever had.
I started off leaving my house @ 6:00am (I had my electric vest & heated gripson) took someback roads to the Tilt'n Diner, on New Durham Ridge I stopped to take a pic of the valley with low lying pure white fog hovering over the streams..(didn't come out, shutter on camera stuck halfway)
I arrived at the diner, Beldude was already there. after breakfast, we slabbed it to Royalton VT, I hate the highway, but it is the only way to cover that much distance in a reasonable time
from Royalton, we took 107, Blackmore Blvd. & 100 to Waitsfield. almost non-existent traffic. Route 17 awesome, no traffic, perfect pavment conditions. We continued on 17 to the Crown Point Bridge, in Port Henry village, there was a ton of traffic, but that was where we turned off on to county routes. We took Essex 7 to Elizabethtown, had lunch. about midway on 7, we saw a group of oncoming hardleys, about 30-40 or so, riding side by side, wearing colors. The leader was wearing a viking style helmet with hornsall I could think of at the time was Laurence Fishburne choreographing simultaneous kickstands
From Elizabethtown we headed south on US 9 to Essex 6. Essex 6 has recently been paved, made it worth the trip, at the other end of 6 we picked up Essex 4 back to US 9, why don't they rip up that concrete ?, bumpety bump down 9 to what is shown on my map as Essex 2 as well as Johnson Pond Road, when we got there the sing was Essex 78 the first couple miles was chip & seal type pavement, after the first quarter mile I pulled over to seeif I had a flat. the pavement was like coarse sandpaper, and even though walking on it, the aggregate seemed stable, it moved when you cornered hard, that only lasted a couple miles, then it turned to gravel, well not even really gravel, a forest access road is the best way to describe it, Nikon, Lincoln Gap Road is a superhighway. about 15 miles total before we got to the other end in Crown Point. We stopped at the bridge and took a couple pics, then backtracked on 17 to Bristol, where we took Lincoln Gap Road (lotsa peeps swimmin in the New Haven River, one of my hangouts as a teenager) I think we saw more traffic in the Gap than anywhere all day, but that was only a couple bicycles. Once back on Rt 100 we backtracked our way home,
a few minutes after 6pm, I hit 100,000 miles on my odo on Rt 11 in Wilmot, NH , one more gas stop in Franklin, and we were home just as it was getting dark. 480 miles on the day for me
