ok the time is coming for the summer nationals!

summer nationals

this is the 17th annual and i have been going for as long as i remember.

if you like muscle cars, loud noises, the smell of rubber, drinking outside, girls, stunt shows, and set-up burn outs then this is for you.

just in case you don't know during this weekend it is LEGAL to drive around worcester with out fenders hood or exhaust.

very good time

so if any nesr folks want to meet up in downtown worcester let me know i will be down town and up at green hill park all weekend

also if you ride your bike you can park inside the show areas

There's a lot of hooliganism at night, which makes some of it lame, but cops are pretty much told not to enforce ANYTHING, so it's the one chance you can get away with anything when it comes to street laws.

So depending on the day I will be:
-rockin the mini (XR80R)
-rockin the FZR
-bringing the truck, but parking it to just walk around

I looove the Summer Nationals. I miss it almost every year because I'm out of town, but THIS year the big cookout I normally go to is the weekend before the 4th.

i will be on my fizza, or walking if im gonna drink. which works out well because i live on bell hill and any one that is taking a non-show car can park in my lot.

the closest I have is my bike...and a couple of my friends will be using their own cars (that their parents bought them one way or another)

what i do have is

so i bet the muscle car guys would laugh at me for the "tunner" car. but i could blow the doors off a lot of the old muscle and get 30mpg

nope, the closest i had was a 86 t-bird

bah....the firebirds were very cool cars (styling, old-school pushrod engine, rear drive, etc.) that we grew up on (knight rider, etc.) but they just weren't much special. The 305 just wasn't a high-output motor, and I've heard it's tough to find a good condition differential because most people toast them thinking sports cars must have strong ones. Either way, I hope to buy a late 80's formula or GTA someday and restore it, but for a muscular burn-out car, I'd be more inclined to get a 442.

either way, you're doing better than I am...my fizzer's a 95 w' cracked fairings...so and I might not even bring that...instead I'll go complete japanese muscle and bring the '96 XR80R

Fraser, who just signed up for the boards will be stunting throughout nationals with the XFR guys again this year. If you go to nationals, you really gotta check them out.
