Obviously photoshopped. That one shows me on the correct side of the road and not on the brakes going into a turn. Pretty sure that never happened in real life.
No dude, that was me on the wrong side.
Seriously though. I was behind the big 'wing fer a bunch the other day. Didn't see a single hard part put down this time.
And I don't recall you on the binders that late in a turn at all.
Colin,
I am now understanding your target fixation dilemma. I too was mesmerized by Jay throwing that thing around like a monkey slings shit at the zoo.

One tap. Right side, early in the day. Getting there.
No one needed their welding masks this time.
I shouldn't be on them at all. This isn't a race. If I'm not comfortable going that fast in a turn I shouldn't be going that fast in the "straight".
I know better. I just don't always do better.
LOL. If nothing else at least you know what turn is coming up before you actually see it.
I still have lots of opportunity to improve my body position, even on the wing. Still need to work on getting my head and shoulders "the rest" of the way out. Need to remember to use only my legs to move left to right (every time). Getting better at relaxing my arms in the turns.
I have no idea what I'm going to do if I ever get a sport bike assembled.
Oh, I have proof contrary.
*just imagined photoshopping the speedo out of 9,700 pictures*![]()
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
Don't be like me kids!
Really, I have no idea wtf I was doing here.
Matt, I think your speedo is in kilometers. You're fine.
Your eye was drawn by the dead sexiness that is a wee strom. Few can resist her temptation.
In that photo I am almost certainly screwing around with the camera I had mounted off the port side crash guard. I rigged up a ram ball for this outing. I dig the angle, but if I'm not paying attention I can bump the camera with my calf when rolling up to a stop.
It was probably that helmet of yours. So attention-grabbing.

The more I play with video editing, the more I realize it probably isn't for me.
Meh.
Probably, it says "this video is private"

Nice stair threads though Colin!![]()
There is a big part of editing that depends on source material. As you were behind me you were obviously limited in that regard
Brilliant video requires brilliant source and brilliant production.
I do really like that camera angle.
People love seeing a big 'wing get hustled through the curves. Exhibit A: A video of such things with 1.7 million hits!
The angle is cool, isn't it? I may try to move it forward a bit and try to get less brush guard though. I mounted a RAM ball on the rear luggage jungle gym as well. But the camera cut out after 13 seconds and you only see the parking lot at Moulton's Market as I suit up. Need to figure out wtf is going on with that.
Rick, however, is a bit unique.
Stats from his legendary 24 Hours of Deals Gap
1001.7 miles in 23 hours and 52 minutes
55.69 gal of fuel
highest mpg 22.8
lowest mpg 19.28
slowest lap time: 15.00 min.
fastest lap time: 11:30 at 8pm after 2 hrs of riding
1/4 steel plates on my foot pegs
After a bikeless hiatus, he's back to riding the area around the gap.
He's now offering "tips" rides for fellow goldwingers who visit the area
According to him, he spent some time racing in Loudon.Originally Posted by Yellow_Wolf
