Dirt roads and pavement designed for large dual sports klr650, dr650 vstrom 650/1K , bmw gs, etc . , you could do it on a motard but it will be a long day for a small hard seat .
I have done the first part of the loop that I have laid out I don;t know the actual mix but its aprox 50/50 dirt road and pavement , I have not done the second part so there will be some exploring and we may have to turn around now and again . From what i have seen on the map there are no hero sections.
the loop is roughly 200 miles give or take heading out to western mass roughly as far west as ashfield before looping back so there are bail out opportunities along the way
I will be leaving the shell / dunkin / honey farms at the jct of rt2 and 202 in orange .
9 am sharp .
have a full tank of gas . I would plan to bring a small snack and a bottle of water or something , as we will be stopping along the route but it will most likely be a road side stop and not at a store .

Thanks randy , that was fun , I ended up not going straight home after all so I missed the race , but did end up with a few more dog encounters and 233 miles for the day .
I'll have to edit the route and swap some of those paved sections in the middle of the ride for dirt ones.
I think we crossed paths with several other group rides today, a couple guys leaving the shell on 202 s we were gassing up , then later on we were on 116 when there were a couple NESRians setting up a photo shoot in one of the corners .
turned out to be a nice day out on the bike despite a very foggy start .
its almost time for the first oil change already .

it is I who should be thanking you Sean
excellent linkage of back roads
I pulled in my drive with 499 miles, I was surprised this morning, I left home just before sunrise, V-1 more than paid for itself today, almost every town, the LEOs were out early, no traffic, one is 5 cars was a cop
then I hit the fog, luckily no more LEOs, in short time, my V-1 was too wet to work, it didn't dry out and start working again till almost the end of our ride
