Dave, what time do you expect to be in conway, nh?
it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !
if I can make it it will be at the conway point of the trip. not sure yet !??
subway is right at the base of hurricane mt rd in Intervale
Kanc has a ton of new pavement right up and over the top of the pass
If I can offer a suggestion for the ride out of gorham:
2w to 115 to twin mountain, 302 east to bretton woods/attitash
( option 1: take bear notch to the kanc, then head to 93/118)
or continue past attitash to west side road ( great twists and hills) to west side rd south to passaconway rd ( neat little cut back to the kanc) then to 118 or 93
it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !
01Y - Thanks for the reply. I know where that Subway is...we usually stop there and grab some lunch to go. We will then stop at the rest area in Evans Notch and eat!
The map posted in my Ride Description is a bit out of date. We will most likely come back down 16 to 113 and 113a ending up back in Ashland where people can choose to continue back roads or jump on 93. I am saving the real second half of this ride for the NESR Exclusive Big, big, long, long ride...ride!!!
Hope to see you there!

I'd like to go Sunday. Is it O.K. if I bring a couple (2) riders along? Todd
Please have a look at this post. I like to set expectations before we head out.
My vision of a successful ride is one where no one goes down, no tickets are issued, we don't create any unnecessarily negative impressions with the rest of the universe not participating in this ride, everyone has a great time, and we all start out and end up as friends!
I prefer to lead from the front. I will keep a spirited pace. Some requrements and suggestions:
• All rides I lead are 'Black Tie' affairs. This means ATGATT - Helmet, boots, gloves, jacket and at least heavy jeans....
• Ride your own ride … period
• Stay at 80% of your ability based on YOU, weather, road conditions, your
bike, etc. If the rider in front uses all their reserve and you asspack ‘em
cus you weren’t giving yourself enough leeway it’s YOUR bad.
• It is the passing rider’s responsibility to complete a pass safely.
• No one gets left behind. I stop at all major intersections and any change
of route and get a count.
• Watch for the rider BEHIND you. If they aren’t there slow down and see if
they catch up. If not, stop. Eventually I will realize no one is behind me
and circle back to see what’s what!
• If you want to go faster, engage in stunting, or pass me…no
problem. Try and let me know and strike out on your own. No hard
feelings! Have fun! But do try and let me know you’re splitting off so I
stop trying to count you. Worst case, at some point leave me a message
on my cell – 617.285.7154
• Ride staggered at slower speeds. Leave 3+ seconds or better at the
more spirited speeds.
• No passing on the right
• Limit passing on double yellow to only when necessary
• Keep speeds under a ton
• The ‘Pace’ is the guide I keep in my head
• Turn off your freekin’ blinker after you’ve completed the turn!
Hope this is agreeable to all!!!
Dave

Where/When do you plan to hit Rt 16? Are you going up RT 11 through/out of Wolfeboro and so hitting Rt 16 in Ossipea?
If the wedding I am going doesn't have a crazy party on Saturday night, I'll try to meet up and stop at my Dad's in Berlin.
Thanks,
Rob.
CYA THERE?
it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !
Rob what are your plans for the return trip? VT, or Berlin?
Not sure if I can make this, but I may scoot up to conway and catch you there.
All depend on the painting I get done...the price I pay for a Nova Scotia Trip![]()
was just about to pm ya Hoss !
hows that s-triple treating ya?
Ill be at the subway in Intervale @ 1130-1145 ! pick up some lunch and take it to the notch ! ( there is a great little turn off midway up 113)
ill be turning off from the group in Gorham, and heading back home for some family event stuff.
if you get the urge, it is worth it to run hurricane mt road both ways, completely different type of ride in reverse.
Rob where are ya from? i live in berlin

I got home about and hour ago and I did 380 miles. Dave, thanks for leading. I thought it was a good pace and a lot of fun.
I got stuck behind a car and lost the group when I came out of the park. I somehow ended up on 93S and said, F it I'll just take this home. I got stuck in some pretty bad traffic. It took me well over 3.5 hrs to go 130 miles. Hopefully those of you that live in MA took a different way home.
Glad you guys got home OK! What a great day. We had a little drizzle in the morning but once we got past Wolfeboro it mostly stopped...even if it did look like it was going to unload anytime the rest of the day!
I could tell you were all impressed by the Madison Boulder! Should I skip that on the Big big long long ride...ride? (BTW - weather permitting, the bbllr...r will include Mt. Washington and the Kanc. Will be an even longer day!)
I have some pics and will post up a more complete ride report in the next couple days!
I did get to test my Olympia Suit on the ride home. Starting in Plymouth, for about 10 miles, I was in a pretty heavy downpour and I'm happy to report the suit didn't leak!
Later all...
Dave
