Hi Folks,

I am planning a ride to Alaska from the Boston area and looking for people to ride with me. If not all the way, at least part of it.

I am also looking for votes to help me get the $100 with a motivation to have get the money to buy donuts for my students. Not healthy, but don't we all love donuts.

mycirus, I cannot give an exact date because I am a teacher and in Massachusetts we have to make up any snow days the school closes due to storms. I know that I will launch my ride the last week in June. The route will be Trans-Canada highway for most of it. I do plan to deviate a little for sightseeing to check out a few spots. Based on your comment if Duc Dave goes you will not go. As a result of that comment, I am not interested in riding with you. Thank you for your reply to my post...... Happy riding!

Let me clarify my posting with the invitation for a rider to accompany me to Alaska via Canada. Ride starts Friday June 28. I am looking for 1 rider that can carry his or her own weight and can ride between 300 to 500 miles a day. I am not interested in a group ride. My ride will be low budget with hostels, motels and camping. Apologies to anyone I have offended. In my mind a rider that needs his/her riding buddy sends a red flag of inexperience or disregard/respect for the person inviting them.

And I'm small time compared to real LDRs.

Very cool SteveM, looks like you can carry your own weight on a motorcycle.
My invitation is extended to you. My ride starts June 28 to Alaska.
Will stop in Toronto for 2 days, then taking the ferry across to Manitoulin Island through the Native Indian reserve.
To Qu'Appelle Valley in Saskatchewan. This is as far as I have planned so far. Still researching my way through Canada to Anchorage.
