Regardless of her quirks, I find it hard to label someone who has ridden cross country and to the Panama canal and back a joke.

I'm labeling her as a joke because of her lack of respect for other motorcyclists. Not because of how she rides. She can ride out on the high horse she rode in on.

Let me clarify my posting with the invitation for a rider to accompany me to Alaska via Canada. Ride starts Friday June 28. I am looking for 1 rider that can carry his or her own weight and can ride between 300 to 500 miles a day. I am not interested in a group ride. My ride will be low budget with hostels, motels and camping. Apologies to anyone I have offended. In my mind a rider that needs his/her riding buddy sends a red flag of inexperience or disregard/respect for the person inviting them.

well, Dave and MyCirus fit you prerequisites as partners. as for MyC wanting to go if Dave goes, i can see why. if i was doing a long distance trip i would want one of these guys with me. you seem awfully full of yourself

Dave does regular rides with the mileage that you do. as does MyC. hell ive even done close to the mileage that youre referring to......on a motard.

You are right Rambunctous. They are very typical. Just of a bunch that says they ride. I thought I'd give it a try. I'll stop wasting my time, now to plan my ride. Thanks for the advice.

thats shitty advice to take. you think youre better than all of us because you have no responsibilities during the summer so you can ride your bike wherever you want for as long as you want.

Lack of respect huh? You couldn't be more wrong. I had no idea who this woman on the Ducati was, who came up to me in northern NH of all places and started talking to me about riding. I heard all about her Panama trip without having any idea who I was even talking to.

Do any of you have any idea...wait, I don't need to finish, the answer is NO, you don't. Her trip to Panama was with other riders. She left with 4-5 people. She came back ALONE. Some people just stopped and turned around. I believe one other had serious bike problems. Why the hell does she NOT have the right to pick who she rides with? Many of you do the same shit. Every one of you who say "Have at least a coat helmet and gloves" are no better. Anyone who says ATTGAT or stay home is no better. If I wanted to do a serious trip like those, why do I want to take the inexperienced rider, someone not serious, or someone who's gonna back out last minute? I remember rayray getting chastised for backing out last minute. How would you people, who's bikes he was hauling, felt if he made it half way to the destination, then said fuck it and turned around? That is, without bothering to tell anyone.
