on/off road sunday

I am going to be doing a dirt road / pavement , some off road sections in central mass on sunday , big bike friendly if you have off road experience there is only one rocky section a couple hundred feet long that if it looks too scary for you, you can avoid it .

Yup ! we were scoping out some new stuff, took a break for a sandwich

yes, i was on the gsa and behind another bike i had caught up to.

i would had stopped but was running late and needed to meet someone in barre.

Did a bit of pre routing yesterday with leah ,
some of it was good ,







but then we came to old wendell rd out near rt 63, it may not have been bad if we were headed down hill , although even that was a challenge, we made it about 1/2 way up and decided that it was more adventure than I wanted to attempt on a 500+ lb motorcycle, it would be cool to do on the wr250







so we turned around and routed around it .





then today I found a road that on a map went through , though when I got to the end of the gravel and it turned to more of a goat path, there was a car parked in the way that I had to go around, missing by inches , it then got real narrow real quick but I pressed on until I got to an obvious beaver area , I stopped to check out the " bridge"




after moving a few of the logs to stuff into the holes in the "bridge" I made it to the other side to find a water crossing that i wouldn;t even attempt with several people to help me, nevermind do it alone



so I turned around and routed around it .

fun weekend for sure , and I have a pretty good loop laid out, 165+ miles

I think I may try to put something together later in the year, perhaps an over nighter with a camp spot in the western part of the state , as I have more stuff laid out than I can do in one day , and it just barely gets over to the begining of the pdr .
