That happen to me last year. Battery was on the charger all night, bike not fully put back together from working on the carbs, I'm running up and down my street trying to pop start it at like 8am right before the ride.
Ended up just throwing a plate on the Ninja 250 and taking that.
See you guys in a little while.![]()

Do any of you gas have a cellphone I can call around 3:30pm? I'll be available at 3:30... Im coming from dedham... my phone# is 774-240-4181 Ren....
I had texted Ray earlier about my predicament with my bike and hopefully I can get some insight. I put a full exhaust on my 250 yesterday assuming I had enough time to jet the carb before the ride this morning. Well after trying every single jet and doing a plug chop at WOT the plug was black as hell and I wasn't about to go on a 250 mile ride with a bike I am not 100% sure about.
I am wondering if anyone around my area, Holliston, is good with carbs and wouldn't mind helping me out with the jetting and tuning. I have three options I am thinking about:
1. Have me or a friend tune the bike by doing a plug chop a bunch of times at WOT, 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 for maximum performance. Not real accurate but it works.
2. Weld an O2 bung into the exhaust and install my wide band off the mustang to get really accurate results.
3. Wait until the end of April to have Rob at Robs Dyno tune it for $200.
I just finished putting the stock exhaust back on so I can at least ride the bike in case I decide to do option #3.
Man I wish my bike was EFI so I could get a power commander and be done with it...any insight?
Hope you guys are having fun!
No body showed up at red streak I was there from 9:30 to 10:30.......I must of missed something.... oh well...

The road i went on was ridiculous, no traffic, no closed roads, no cops. The road was absolutely beautiful. Everything was smooth and the hairpin on rt2 is ridiculous.
Just got home. Sorry I had to cut out early but glad I did. I totally forgot that I have company coming over for Easter so I need to clean/pick up the place and go to store and buy the food....DOH. Initially I left because my right wrist and elbow were killing me. This was my 1st ride of season so it looks like I need to build up my riding muscles again (besides I could tell I was a little rusty and I didn't want to push my luck on more difficult roads). I have to say I did enjoy myself. It was great seeing old faces and meeting new ones. I hope everything went well after I left. I'll put up my pics soon, need to get ready for tomorrow 1st. Stiggy, I don't know what happened to you but I hope your all right bud.

Hey everyone it was good to ride with you. I had a blast thanks to body bags for organizing a nice ride!!
Wow what a blast. Great group to ride with. Newbies and old timers both had a good time. Roads were in clean and decent condition. Was great to meet a whole bunch of new peeps. Big thanks to Ray (Body Bagz) for puttin this together. If you didn't show you missed a good time, well except for the parking tickets. Meter Maids face was worth a million bucks when she saw everybody comin at her. Ha Ha. Thanks everybody.

I'm pretty sure may have ran into you guys on 116 around 4:30-ish. I was at the gas station in Ashfield checking my tire (black Ninja) and the group went by, so I tagged along in the back for the rest of 116. I went out on some pretty spirited riding by myself and had an unexpected surprise of my rear tire worn down to the cords (I though it had more life left) at a gas station in VT, so I split off after 116 and went straight home as quickly as possible.
I would've liked to have met up with you guys at Cumby's this morning, but I checked the site too late and didn't know about the ride until about 20 mins before you headed out.![]()

Thanks Ray (Body Bagz)
I met some cool people and saw the "Nice Bikes" that showed up ,Lunch was good except for the mad run to the parking lot to check for tickets ,roads were clean ,weather was more than perfect ,I just need to ride those roads more 116 and 112 again and again .
Once again a big thanks to Ray from the Cape Crew and Boston
cougar i might have ran into you too, were you all by yourself at one point? I was in the gray f4i with the black and orange shark helmet.
07blade if i was whining id be doing what your doing. A cruiser isnt going to help my neck not hurt after riding 250mi for 6hrs with almost no breaks.
Yea i think it was you. I went down rt9 in vt then down rt7 to get on rt2. That section i did was just pure heaven, i thought 116 was too tight and too bumpy. It wasnt bad, just go a few miles more down rt8a and get on rt2 and its 10x better.
