Baseball Hall of Fame (Cooperstown, NY)

We shut down our shop every year for the week of July 4th, and this year I'm planning a little trip to Cooperstown. Yeah, I know about the traffic and all that shit. But it'll realistically be the only time I'll be able to do it this year...

Prolly be a bit tight for me to get time off during the week for this. Everyone and his/her mother has asked for that week off already. I'm low-man on the totem and prolly wouldn't get any time off.

If'n ya do it on a weekend day I'd go. I went right past it on my way to Bob's. Not a bad trip.

A day trip probably isn't in the cards for me for this. It's something I've wanted to do since I was a kid, and I've never been yet. But I'd like to make a coupla days outta it, and see if I can find a nice way back (READ: twisy back roads), and I'd rather not hafta worry about stickin' to a schedule. I figure that the weekends bookending that week are gonna be rediculous as far as travelling...

Hey I might meet you there, it is about 31/2 hours from me on some good back roads. You going to slab it out or are you going out Rt. 23 then up.. I could always meet you in Oneonta if you took that Rt.

I rode out to Norwich a couple summers ago, it was about 6 hours riding time. if you want to do anything other than ride it is more than a day trip.

If yer out ther make sure you hit Ilion Gorge, 5-6 miles of the finest pavement north of Georgia, it's about 20miles NW from Cooperstown

I won't be able to take any time off, I might be up for a long day of riding out to Ilion Gorge & back on the 4th
