Sunday May 4th at West Dennis Beach in the Dennisport area of cape cod..... Blue Knights (yeah I know cops SUCK...lol) annual blessing of the bikes for anyone interested. The gates open at 10am blessing is at noon. We meet at McDonalds in Wareham on Rt 6 around 9:30am or so to have a bite to eat before the main group gets there (they come down from Westport Motosports on Rt6 in Westport just off Rt88 (they do alot of stunting there early for anyone interested in that... along with a few of the more talented riders usually riding mile long wheelies down Rt195 on their way to Wareham... if ya go there enjoy the show but watch your mirrors for anyone coming up to fast on ya). After the blessing depending on the weather we usually ride either to Ptown for lunch or to Marc Anthony's in Onset.
No sure whats I'm doing yet. Most likely I'll be going with my friends from N Dartmouth. Last year we started out from Westport, and took back roads down to Wareham McDonald's. After MD's we just did some riding, no one was that into going to the actual Blessing.

One I thing I learned from that experience is to keep my distance from the vehicles in front of me and to watch out for debris on the roadway.

"fuckit!"
It's a mix of ALL types of bikes... ALOT of sport bikes at the Cape Cod blessing. It is basically a thing alot of us do every year as sorta a superstition (well for me at least). You basically go for a little ride.. check out all the other bikes.. hang.. chat.. donate $5.00 to the Blue Knights (which they give to charity) then along comes a priest who says a blessing to keep all the riders and bikes safe all year then he sprinkles you and your bike with some holy water and that's it. We usually go for a ride from there for some lunch somewhere.. others go for sport rides and stunting. The ride my friends and I are going on is just a slow paced (some two up) ride to grab a bite to eat. As it is the first big group ride of the year for alot of riders you need to be aware of who and what is going on around you.. ie watch your mirrors and keep a safe cushion around you. I enjoy it and it is alot of fun.. ya meet some new peeps.. some old peeps and get to check out what everyone's done to their rides over the winter.
think i want to go get blessing. which one you going? and are you riding that blue R1?
"fuckit!"
Yes I ride the blue R1. I'll be going to the Cape Cod (West Dennis beach) blessing. But like I said don't be expecting a "sport" ride. But there are plenty of people stunting off to make it interesting viewing.![]()
tell us how you *really* feel, mick...
