Sunday was the big day to Winterize my bike. However, it was such a nice day my warmup ride (to change oil) turned into a three-hour tour. Roads were surprisingly clean. Changed oil Sunday night, but went out again last night to mix it around a bit, which of course led to a two-hour tour. Now today looks pretty decent and I'll be going back out to pick up some more Sta-Bil since I've used up all I have. Precipitation coming tomorrow, do ya think I should give up after today's ride and put it away 'til Spring?
Happy Merry,

Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
My Bike stays at condition 1, all winter regardless.
There is always several days that turn out nice to take a blast!
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
this is the 1st winter I've ever winterized... but only because the shed I'm keeping 'er in for the winter has only a people-width door (had to remove a few items to get her in), and I've got some cleaning / maintenance / mods I wanna do this winter. usually, as mild as winters are around here, I've found enough days where I could hop on and ride every so often in Dec, Jan, and Feb.
WWSD? (what would Sneakers do?)

I have never winterized any of the bikes I had. Like TLR man said, there is allways a few days you can get on her.
2018 Harley Road Glide
2000 Ducati 900ss
2003 Harley Softail Deuce
I DIDN'T winterize until I moved up here! When I lived in Manch., I lived less than two miles from work. If the temps were near 40 degrees and the roads were clear, I'd go home at lunch and get the bike. Now I just gotta take it and put 'er down for the nap. Living on a dirt road makes it too fargin' tough to get it out usually...

SVixxer and I won't winterize. We went for few short rides on Christmas eve.....what an adrenaline rush! And to think there is all that snow on the ground now...that's just![]()

I went out for a ride on Xmas eve too, nice night. Surprised some bud's at the party when I pulled up on the Duc. Got followed home by a cruiser, never showed his lights but was on my ass for a couple miles. He was probably wondering who the kook was on his bike this cold winters eve...
When I got home I did winterize it, but all winterizing does is change oil if over a couple hundred miles, add Sta-bil to the fuel, fog the cylinder heads (real easy to do on mine, I've got a T plugged on one end and going to each throttle body on the others), spray metal components with WD-40, and remove battery to throw on charger each month. Just 5 minutes of work to make road ready (neglected the WD-40 part). No way I can go 3 months without sneaking a few rides in on nice days...![]()
