I see that there are both North and South shore groups of riders getting together for rides soon. I'm interested in starting a Central MA ride. As much as I would like to join up with everyone in "the city", it's at least an hour plus ride depending upon traffic. So, if anyone in Central MA is interested, let us know. Right now we have a group of 7-10 riders planning a ride to bike week as well, anyone that wants to join in is more than welcome.

2004 Mini Cooper - Deal's Gap tested and approved
Guys on sportbikes are so hot....until they take their helmet off. Just leave the damn thing on already!
Beware the counterfeit Mini!
central is better for me than east (since i'm west)
I live in Gardner, about 40 min north of Worcester, right off of Rt 2. It's probably about an hour for both of you depending upon how fast you like to ride.

Gahnah hunh? I come from Wusta but moved ta Spensa in '87.
Central Mass rides should all head west, as there's way too much cage traffic around here. FYI, I've been a sportrider (and senior member of SRNE) since '97. I lead rides out of Sturbridge fairly often, sometimes headed to Motomarket, more often head for the Berkshires.
I'll give you a shout if I got something going, OK?

Hey Fireball, we'll be leaving for bikeweek from the Townsend area. Probably Loonyburg. I'll keep you posted. Too bad 119 through the state forest is always congested or under a watchfull eye!![]()

That's a short little piece, but very nice. I've been lucky enough to get a clear shot at it headed west from a nice breffis at Cliff's a couple of times. Most times, cages-a-plenty. Never been unfortunate enough to encounter the "watchful eyes", but I am always wary (and armed with the V1.)Originally posted by cbrburns

Overall though, too damned short to be of any real fun. I MUCH prefer riding in the more deserted areas of western MA, southern VT.![]()

That's true, WAY to short. If only it went on forever! Are you willing to reveal any favorites?
