Yes. Paved in awesomeness.
The year I went was when they had the rock slide close off deals gap at the Tennessee side. They actually had a gate they would close and lock right by the crot. The whole week, there was this kid on an all black drz that would do a stoppie every time he came down to the cross roads.
I was impressed.
Bumpin. Funkin. Humpin.
Proposed date is a bit later. We're talkin June 22nd-28th.
The Point house. Newest of Ron's bunch. Cleanest and nicest IMO. The Ridge house was in disrepair last September.
I already have two others with near definite commitment. A Wee and a Vee, plus possibly an Sv as a spare.
The Point house sleeps six. 5 or 6 would be ideal. Price for the week for the house is $1333 for everything because I'm a sexy little man and Ron hooks this white hairy brother up with a 10% discount. We always split it up even. The math ain't hard.
Anyone serious about wanting to go?
Updated pricing.
22nd is last day of the classic, so not sure if those dates will work for me.
I cant make this one Clay. Ill be in Hawaii during that time frame, then in August im doing 2 weeks in Alaska with Duc Dave. Next summer/fall might be a possibility. Want to come to Alaska sometime?
Looking into logistics and schedule now.......:lurk:

Time to chuck a new bike in a ditch!
Hi Clayton,
I will be sending you a PM. I need to discuss logistics of transport, size of tard's tank 2.1 and fuel stops, estimated cost, etc. I need to talk this through. Motard tank is small. 2.1 gallons and 45 miles until fuel light about 70 until it stops. Basically the same BS we talked about last year. Maybe we should discuss it over beer just because.
Nathan
We've been down there with tardy people before. KB, Joel, FuckTrain, hell Mike's numerous RC51's only got about 85 miles to the tank.
KB's Stupidhawk is the only thing that ever ran out of gas, but that wasn't a range issue. It was a mental fuel tank issue.
In. :hbang2:
WE ARE GO LIKE PIZZA DELIVERY
As it sits right now, this trip is FULL. Just waiting on final deposits.
Fucking mint.
Works out to be about $223 per person for the whole entire week.
All deposits are in. If someone backs out, we'll have an open spot. Other than that, GAME ON!
I'm in!!! Who wants to volunteer to let me ride in their truck and put the lil' Ningy named Grasshoppah in the back of the truck? I'll split gas and driving time! I promise to be on my least best behavior and fit right in with the rest of ya :) Any takers?! Pretty please with a cherry on top?
Time to make the list of to-do's before I go.
Tires on the Wee (PR4's)
New aftermarket head unit in the truck so I can listen to blue teeth with pandoras box.
Swap front rotors on the SV
Valve adjustment on the SV
Find a way to fit 4 bikes on the trailer if necessary (April)
Pick up a cheap CB for the never ending radar detector-less road that is Virginia.
BTW, because I'm so damn good looking and I organized the trip, dibs on the downstairs bedroom.
PR4's eh? You priced those yet? :frown:
$325 for the set shipped.
I know.. I got my first set of PR3's for $285 shipped.
just run the radar detector, fine is usually around $100 if you get caught, they do not confiscate the detector, they just write down the serial #
I've travelled thru VA a couple dozen times with my V-1 mounted in plain sight on my bike handlebar, never been stopped

$35 is cheaper than $100, plus I get a working CB radio out of it.
In all reality, I don't speed too much when towing with the big trailer. Little truck + big trailer = reasonable speeds.
So as far as driving down, Lopycam and I are heading out Friday night. Chris, you and April are welcome to caravan down with us.
Only stop that is necessary is right after going over the Tapanzee Bridge, there is a White Castle right off an exit. Easy on, easy off, easy way to load up on sliders :D
I picked up one of them little shaker siphon thingies in case we run into any fuel challenged situations.
For any riders on this trip, I'll have a Sena SMH-10R going. I can't recommend one enough, either that or the SMH-10 model. I was in the "i don't want to talk to anyone while I ride" boat until this thing was given to me by a friend. I'm a believer now. Bubs borrowed one last year and having the ability to speak up while riding once in a while in between streaming music via blue teeth from my phone (and texting/calling and GPS directions) was REALLY nice.
I'd encourage any of you guys to beg/borrow/steal/buy one for the trip.
