I'd love to do a ride so I can meet everyone (well, everyone beyond Heath since I met him in a ditch on the Gap already .....). May I request a Sunday since I work on Saturdays?
My to do list is .....
1) Buy my tires and ship to Clayton's
2) Buy Clayton beer so he will change my tires and teach me how to put in the 90 degree valve stems :poke:
3) Buy a taser so if Chris tries to buy a McD's burritos he is effectively prevented from following through
Anybody interested in going in halfsies on the Sena bluetooth headset?
Things already done ...
1) Oil and filter change
2) 300 miles ridden last weekend
One big helmet. Two people. One Sena. Brilliant!
The only thing I know for certain is that Asa has disproportionately large balls compared to the rest of his junk. Usually I see KB's dangly-bits on this trip, perhaps Asa will be his replacement.
So anytime we're riding along and you see him shift in his seat a bit, ya, you'all are gunna be thinkin about what's going on down there. Nasty.
Since I'm not all that technical, I might have read this wrong, but it looks like you can get a dual pack for $270 off Amazon and be able to split up the components.

Heath, you will be surprised at the level my brain functions at. I can make people blush on a consistent basis!
Bubs posted a link to the even cheaper two pack available through a group buy on the ADVrider forum, you guys may want to look into that.
Feeling like Cards Against Humanity game will be a totally appropriate accessory to bring on this trip! There are a few blank answer cards so we could always add "Asa's disproportionately large balls" to our game!
Note to self - bring blindfold to protect from retina trauma of seeing Asa's large balls
Mounted the new tires on the Wee. She turns like a sportbike now.
Not sure if my new helmet is louder or it was just the cold dense air being more noisy than much warmer air. I hope it was the latter.
May need to re-balance the back tire of the Wee. Took nearly 2 ounces to get balanced. That seems like a lot. Doesn't ride particularly smooth either, but I have no smooth roads to diagnose it on.
Looks like we have 6 weeks to go!
Just in case you need ideas. Check out "Favorites" near the bottom of the page: http://www.newenglandriders.org/Grea...palachians.htm
Is it time to leave yet? I'm getting antsy for a week of riding and debauchery!
5 weeks from now, we'll be in Tennessee just about to cross over into NC right about now.
Unfortunately April has to bow out do to shitty circumstances.
So, at this point, it's 5 of us and we have an open spot. Anyone interested in joining in the debauchery?
sup, Im just waking up from my winter time slumber and checking out the forums.
Need a fun summer idea and this sounds cool. Always wanted to make it down to deals gap but never had the time or the resources to haul a bike down there.
Did you guys meet up for a local ride yet?
Not yet, I'm thinking the weekend after next. June 7-8th.
That work for you guys?
We can ride out to Curtis Ribs or something. Open to suggestions.
That works for me I'm not working that weekend.
