I'm in. I look forward to riding the 1190 on the dragon and I'll need a break form the airbag recall by then.
Ha.
Not only does this house include breakfast every day, but they do daily housekeeping for us AND will do our laundry if we ask.
Score.

Thread cleaned up.
5 confirmed right now, if we get 6 then it'll be $135 a person. That's stupid cheap.
Thoughts for rides during the week:
-"The Snake": Bubs just did it yesterday, said it was fantastic. I think Ocks and Lisa did that on a 12 hour marathon ride a few years back, also said it was fantastic. I'm not opposed to heading up there one night and grabbing a hotel locally if we didn't want to do it all at once. With the house being so cheap, I think this may be a good idea.
- TN66/TN70 into SW Virginia/Kentucky, Big Rock Gap. Did this last week. Long haul past Maryville, but real nice riding. Fuel will be a concern for the small bladder'ed bikes.
- Highlands/28 South
- Cherry Cola, 360, Dragon : Good morning or afternoon run.
- Devil's Triangle: Did this a couple years ago with Bubs/Chris, WAY the hell out there but nice roads.
- Mountain City/Rt451 (or 421?): Father/Son duo at Ron's shop last year said it was amazing. Less traffic, still great road.

Find a way to make this ride happen. You will not regret. Like the dragon, but longer, and with fewer bozos and less traffic. Scene at the Country Store in the valley in between is pretty cool too. Way more sport bikes and locals than I remember anywhere near the dragon. We were there on a Sunday. IIRC the Dragon is a shit-show on a Sunday.
FYI 421 => Snake. Snake => 421. Ron must have been telling you about something else.
So let's get some verbage going on the transportation situation. Add your name to the list with both bike/person requirements and availability of your vehicle/trailers if any:
Matt: Lives near Hartford, easy stop to pick up on the way. One bike. One person. We can fit him. We have the technology.
TheIglu: Tacoma, fits two people (including driver). Has cap on bed. Can carry 1 motard and 1 street bike on small HF trailer. Can carry another in the bed of the truck with cap removed. Planning to bring nekid SV, possibly also Weestrom. Also have larger flatbed landscape trailer, can fit 3 bikes easily, possibly 4. Heavy trailer though.
Mike:
Alex:
Chris: Still got the Chevy? You are welcome to tug my big trailer if I'm not using it.

Mike:
Alex: BMW X5 diesel. Technically fits 5 incl driver, but two in the back is way more reasonable. I currently have the NESR whore trailer (small HF trailer). I think it can do two street bikes. Planning to bring tuono v4r.
Chris: 2013 tacoma 4 door. If I finish the new trailer in time I can put 2 bikes on it and one in the truck, otherwise one on the old trailer and one in the bed.
I don't know if you want to list up MPGs or not, but I get about 21-23 city & 24-26 highway. Best I ever got was about 28/29, but it was flat and I was going about 55, just trying to see what the max I could get was.
Unfortunately I'm pretty much a sitting duck as far as transport is concerned.
Alex, that BM of yours might be the best option for getting 3 or 4 of us down there. Save a ton of money on fuel. My small HF trailer is setup for two smaller bikes. I had my SV and a motard on it last year and it worked out fine. Not sure we'd want two full size bikes on there for the entire duration though, that's a long ride with a lot of weight on a shitty trailer.
If it's 5 of us for the trip, 3 could go with you and two of us could haul my big trailer down with a bunch of bikes. Maybe me and Mike in his F150?
Lets say 3 bikes on the big trailer, another bike in the back of his truck. That's 4. If Chris finishes his trailer in time, you can tow two bikes.
Thoughts?

Sure, whatever works. Here's a pic of my trailer if it helps. http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...iler-sale.html
My trucks a pig @ 13MPG. The gas is going to cost more per person than the house cost. Figure $200 both ways, plus if we go anywhere while down there.
I can fit 4 but would really only be comfortable with 2, 3 max plus gear.
I can get two bikes in the back if needed with minimal supplies. Or I can haul a trailer. I do not own one anymore.
If I do take the truck, I need to get it into the shop next week.
I'm in Northbridge close to RI/CT border of MA.

My truck is available and ready.
Probably gets better than 13mpg, even fully loaded. Just not gunna be the quickest truck out there
No matter what, towing a bunch of bikes is going to be the expensive way to get there. I'm sure if fuel costs are split reasonably between all owners of bikes being towed, it'll be cheap still.
