I was thinking of the Canky Mangy Hwy thru the notch and back around to MT Washington... There is a little bit of construction going on but is is only for a 1/4 mile or so... We could all meet at the BBQ joint on 16 just before the mountains..

The Kanc sucks. More so in a coupla weeks with the extra traffic. Pick yourself up a decent NH road atlas, and look around other routes in that area. There's a handful of roads up there that're far more betterer and'll leave ya wondering why you hadn't checked sooner. Seriously...

If Big Shirl wasn't so damned pregnant, I'd try to join up...

Don't plan on averaging more than 45mph for Sunday rides on the Kangamangus for the rest of the season. Leaves were already changing last weekend and traffic was picking up.

I don't know how fast you ride, but in my last two trips over there, I've seen three Licnoln cops and two state troopers.

Not tryin' to shit on your route, just passin info along.

302 through Franconia Notch and points north would be better. But if you are determined to stay around the Kanc, I can definately suggest some WAY LESS traveled back roads, with serious twisties, in that general area.

I was there Last Sat and Yesterday morning and there are several new Traps along that road... Shooting the Notch was fine on SAT but who know next SUN... I have several routes mapped out that we can take. I'll post some and we can choose from there... What about the idea of the BBQ joint as the meeting place??

Many times. We're not all that far from and we have friends in the area. Whether you're lookin' for some quick eats or a huge fookin' platter of meat, it's the shit. I've NEVER seen that place NOT packed...

I eat VERY light when I'm riding. No need for big meals. Usually a power bar & water is just fine...

But honestly, that's cuttin' it close for me. My Missus is due anytime between now & mid-October, and she's ready. May hafta stick close these next few weeks...

Definitely some good roads there.

I can't believe Bear Notch Road made that list though. It's a great road....if you've got a prerunner race truck. That's gotta be about the roughest road I've ever been on with a bike.

That road sux. If they repaved it, it could have definate possibilites.

302 from North Conway to Bartlett. Recently paved... A little north of Cathedral Ledge is where it gets finger lickin' good
