Talking Eat, Ride, Party, Repeat - 1st Weekend of Bike Week

Aside from the races, who's doing what for the first weekend? I've had a few people come to me with some ride ideas; compiled with some existing plans, here's what I've got so far.

Friday Night: Get the weekend started off right (and avoid a Saturday morning slab if you dont live int he area) with plenty of partying with friends and other riders, late night bonfire, plenty of beer and BBQ hosted by yours truly. (BYO food, draught beer is avaiable for a small contribution or BYO)

Saturday: For the early birds, you are welcome to join in the RFKC (ride for kids in crisis) leavng Auburn to Gunstock. I'm totally open for the rest of the day, either for some riding or to hit some of the afternoon races.

Saturday Night: Riders united, BBQ, Beer, Bonfire, plenty of (drinking) games (plenty of bike parking available). (BYO food, draught beer is avaiable for a small contribution or BYO)

Sunday: I've had a few requests for a White Mountain Ride possibly including the autoroad, HMR and a few other key roads. It's on!!!

Sunda Night: Same deal... (Note the thread title)

Monday Morning: A morning ride is likely perhaps around the lakes region (a bit of posing on the strip is not out of the question if time permits)

If you would like to join us, PM me for contact info/directions or meeting points.

**Additional ideas or event suggestions are always welcome!
    ..... Tuesday-Friday Plans are upcoming .....

    Good deal motocross!
I'll get you directions to the festivites.

**Added weekend event** We are tagging/graffing the 70' concrete pad with bike week 09, anti-cruiser, and pro-street bike tags. (Hope wal mart has plenty of spray paint!

Sundays Ride: We are doing a White Mountain ride on Sunday. Without exposing too many details, it will include a nice ride up there (no Rte 16 BS), HMR, Mt Washington Auto Road, Bear Notch and the Kanc will all be inlcuded

The nights are still open and room is plentiful for those who want to party... It's all part of the bike week spirit right :-)

Historically, we always get 1 solid week of rain in June... every year.. and yes.. it normally is on Bike week.. however it was this week this year... and judging by history and the long range forecasts.. stop being so phooking negative and lets party and ride!!

The weekend fun continues. Last night featured a great fireworks show here and some fun people. More on their way up tonight, and we are doubling the fireworks display from last night! Some good charity rides this morning and a great party planned for tonight. Hope to see you out there or over here!

You are the man! Thanks for hosting us. Great food and beer aplenty. Next time make sure we have sunshine and we'd be all set.

    Thanks again!

Re: Eat, Ride, Party, Repeat - 1st Weekend of Bike Week

O man... Jimmy after you left I went to applebees and had a few beers as the rain continued... once home slept till about 6pm LOL!!

We never did get to pick up the fireworks for Saturday night... we were a little late getting back from Weir's and the rain Saturday night would have been prohibitive.

Needless to say, Saturday was absolutely crazy.. after a loong day of riding. and a longer night of partying.

The week is young, there are still tons of bike week events to hit up. Thanks to all who made a wet weekend a fun one!!!

I'll try to get up there midweek if I can get anyone to go with me. Weather is looking best on Wednesday but I'll keep an eye on the forecasts.

Re: Eat, Ride, Party, Repeat - 1st Weekend of Bike Week

Looks like we'll (me and wordtoyomamma so far) be headed up that way again today, likely hitting a few good rips along the way up and back.

Tuesday - I'll be meeting a few folks to head south for bike night
Wednesday - Early morning (7am) departure to the hill climbs at Gunstock
Thursday- Relatively open to meet up with folks. Will probably hit up the POW/MIA vigil at night and the fighter jet flyovers if time/location permits.

We're always lookin to meet up with others so hit us up if you're headed up that way!

FlynGSXR I came up with a plan. Thinking of meeting you up at Lowell Bike night tomorrow night then crash at your place. Wednesday I'd be around all day, probably crash again that night and then go home sometime Thursday. How's that sound?

Re: Eat, Ride, Party, Repeat - 1st Weekend of Bike Week

Well, we headed up to the Weirs again on Monday in the rain... Chris was able to use his gf as a fender and she caught all rear-tire spray and he was dry -

His gf and I were less fortunate but stuck it out like champs. Not a bad crowd considering the conditions, and we all got some kick ass gear up there. Headed back up to that area tomorrow after the hill climbs.

**Gixxer Riders Ride in all weather! Chris got his Gixxer 'wet' for the first time :-)

Edit.... and yes we both have the same helmet!
