So how are you healing Tim? I hope your spirits are up. Are you getting a new bike anytime soon?
When you say "non-Fila model" do you mean a 999R or just the 999? I only ask because the Fila bike in that picture without the decals is a 999R. In 2003, a 999R went for $31,995.Originally posted by Mystery Squid
Nice...!
That Fila model though, I've seen a non-Fila model for sale up here for 10 large..., thought about picking it up for a bit, but the dealership is shady at best... (a cage dealership nonetheless)
Assuming the bike you were looking at was a base 999 and it had typical mileage, 10 is a great price for a 999. MSRP for a new one is somewhere aroung $17,500, and you can usually pick up a new last year model toward the middle of the next season for around $15,000. 10 sounds like a nice price.
hey what number was the Bayliss, I think I may have sat on it cring once....

we need a better meeting place next time!
sorry about that Mike. I don't know why Wayne decided to meet you under a highway overpass at a junction that shares the same name as another junction down the roadOriginally posted by blackvfr

We really need to say that we will meet at a gas station or something so we know exactly where to meet. I feel bad because I was late meeting Wayne, so it was my fault that we were late, but at least I can say that the meeting place wasn't my fault![]()
I honestly don't remember which # the Bayliss was, but I think it was in the 300's.Originally posted by SEVENSGT

And as far as the colors go, in the North East, it is just about impossible to get this bike in any other color. Ducati only shipped around 60 blue, 65 red and 50 black to the US. All of the black ones seemed to find their way to the west coast. There was a red one in Manchester, but neither of us liked the bike in red.
no problem tim. see you next timeOriginally posted by A996S

Hey That's my Bayliss The show was excellent, and it was a Great day for riding. Went south down Rt 131, to 169 south through CT to Rt138 back up through Newport. Nice! I saw you guys on the twin blue ducs ride out.
Its # 387 out of 400. Ducati was supposed to only produce 300, but they sold it out online in a day, and at $22 K a copy they decided to opt for coporate greed![]()
I feel the need to tell you that you have a gorgeous bike. I love the Bayliss 998. I was drooling over the one up at BCM in NH for a while, but that was too much for me to spend.Originally posted by ducatiboy

You said you saw us leave. Sorry if the bikes were kinda loud. I hope we didn't disrupt the awards ceremony.
And again, what a beautiful bike you have.
