damn that sucks good thing you two are ok, i had a similar thing happen on the pike about a week ago except it was only a tire, but it sure does suck to have some one swerve and reveal a stopped object

It's just one of those things that you don't expect and I don't think there is much you can do to prevent it other than keep your brakes covered, stay alert, and leave a ton of room. The problem with leaving a large gap is that idiots always cut you off and make the gap small again.
exactly the massholes suck highways suck
but some good advice is "Keeping the brain engaged is the best way to keep the cagers at bay" o wait.....you probable heard that one before![]()

That ride was great.
I was a really nice pace![]()
Yeah, that little incident coming off the pike really sucked. I thought we were both done for! Some one must have been looking out for us![]()
I really thought that ford was going to roll over, how it kept its wheels on the ground is beyond me.
The stopped car must have shit its pants when our 2 bikes came skidding by with locked rears on either side at the same time... with huge clouds of white smoke following![]()

I made if halfway to work when I remembered that I wanted to take the day off and enjoy the weather![]()
I hate all of you.
Except for the guys that nearly had an acccident...it's good to hear that you're all ok!
And the comment about Mass highways, I can sympathize with the issue where space left in front of you just gets filled up. In those circumstances, (although people hate motorcyclists even more because of this), I'll ride in a low gear at high rpm's, making a whole bunch of racket so people don't want to be within 15 feet of me.
One guy in the group had a yellow ducati. We stopped and picked him up in Barre.Originally posted by mycirus
I saw 2 at the Counrty store near Barre? You guys?

Glad you guys were able to enjoy the day. 240 miles for me. One guy came up from Groton, CT... over 400 for him.
